1962 - 2025

Kevin F. Whalen, 62, of Middletown, formerly of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 27, 2025. He was born on August 7, 1962, in Hartford, CT, the son of Karen (Skiba) Whalen and the late James P. Whalen. Kevin was a passionate Red Sox fan and had a deep love for nature, finding peace in feeding the squirrels. He was also a longtime member of the fellowship of Bill W., which brought him great strength and support throughout his life. In addition to his beloved mother, Karen, Kevin is survived by his brothers, James T. Whalen and Joseph Whalen and his wife Debbie, along with herchildren, Chad, Ryan, and Matt; his sisters, Donna Whalen and Katherine Whalen; his nieces, Deena Betournay, Kellie Whalen,,and Shannon Whalen: his nephews, Mark, Josh, Sean, and Michael Whalen; his great nephews, Tyler, Zackery, and Carter; and his close friends, Dave Walsh and Jack. Kevin was predeceased by his brother, Greg Whalen, and his sister, Deborah Betournay. Kevin’s family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A prayer service will close the visitation at 3:30 pm. Burial will take place at a later date.
