Krisann Grabka Obituary
She was born in Hartford to the late Edmund and Lillian (Potter) LaMarre. Kris was a lifelong resident of East Hartford, graduating from Penney High School and then Briarwood College. She worked at Hartford Hospital at the cancer registry for over 30 years. She was a kind and loving woman who enjoyed the outdoors, riding her bicycle, and water sports. She was a member of the Ellington Hog Club and enjoyed many motorcycle rides with her husband. She was the co-founder of the Coyote River Band. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband of 25 years, Kris is survived by her sister, Sandra Gorborino and her husband, John, of South Windsor; her sister-in-law, Donna LaMarre; her three nephews, John and his wife, Jacqueline, James and his wife, Susan, and Bobby LaMarre; five great-nieces and -nephews, Jared, Jack, Jonah, Samuel, and Julia; her CRB band members; many dear neighbors, co-workers and friends; and her cherished furry kitties, Cassie and Moka. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert LaMarre.
Special thanks to staff at Hartford Hospital for their love and care.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 673 Ellington Road, South Windsor. Please meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery in East Hartford.

Dear Alfi,
I was saddened to hear of Krisann's passing. She was truly a wonderful, caring, and fun person. She was a part of our Cancer Center team for many years and such a hard worker. I remember how excited she was when she became a CTR. She will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathy.

Words cannot express the shock and sadness I feel today. My prayers are with you and your family. I worked with Krisann and was immediately drawn to her genuine spirit and laugh. She always greeted me with a hug and smile. I am so sorry that I didn't know about her illness. She is very special to me and she will carry a special place in my heart.

Alfie, We were so sad to hear Krisann had taken ill and passed away. Your in our hearts and prayers at this difficult time. We are sadden to hear of the passing of Krisann, we knew her going up on Nassua Circle, going to school. Always with a smile on her face. She was always willing to help anyone. Heart of gold, beautiful inside and out. Always a kind word for everyone. This angel that blessed us with her presents for years has gone home and will be missed but never forgotten in our hearts. We am sadden to hear of the passing of Krisann, such a wonderful and sweet person. We knew her when we were going up on Nassau Circle, just such a beautiful lady inside and out. Good hearted lady. Beautiful smile and such a dear person. A joy to have around and always so thoughtful. I was honored to have know her.
