Larry W. Hornacek
Larry W. Hornacek, 63, of Wales, MA, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at home with his wife, daughter, and two grandchildren by his side. Larry was born in Stafford, CT, son of the late John, Sr. and Victoria (Jakonowski) Hornacek. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Laurie (Heck) Hornacek; daughter, Sherry Tsantinis; grandchildren, Sofia and Gavin; his adopted son, John Christian; brothers, Brian Hornacek and his wife Joyce, and Kevin Hornacek; sisters, Audrey Heck and her husband Robert, and Shelly Webb; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, John Hornacek, Jr.
Larry worked for Maple Tire Center for 44 years as the manager. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, especially with his grandson, Gavin, and watching his granddaughter, Sofia, dance. Larry was an independent, hardworking man who will be missed by his family, many friends, and customers.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will take place privately. This happened to fast. Larry was definitely an " original, one of a kind", "they don't make 'em like that anymore" kinda guy. He and his family have been extremely kind and thoughtful to mine. My sincerest sympathy and condolences.
