Laurie Angilly Obituary

Laurie L. (Pearsons) Angilly, of Enfield, passed from her earthly journey unexpectedly at the age of 58, on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, due to an automobile accident. Laurie was the beloved wife of 33 years to Douglas J. Angilly; and daughter of Elizabeth M. (Bean) Pearsons of Agawam, Mass., and the late Dale Pearsons.

She was born on Oct. 19, 1953, in St. Johnsbury, Vt., and resided in Enfield for the past 16 years and in Windsor Locks before that. Laurie was employed with Wal-Mart for the past 15 years and at Hamilton Standard/Sundstrand for 19 years prior to that. She enjoyed participating in reenactments and attending car shows with Doug, had a passion for animals, especially her beagles, Sachi and Buddy, and collecting dolls.

Besides her husband, Doug, and mother, Elizabeth, she is also survived by her siblings, Lyle W. Pearsons, and his wife, Nancy, of Suffield, Terry D. Pearsons and wife, Joan, of West Springfield, Mass., and Diane Lagunowich and husband, Al, of Hampden, Mass.; her mother-in-law, Madeline (Silva) Angilly of Windsor Locks; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Catherine Stolle and Judith Newbauer of Princeton, N.J., Robert Angilly of Somerville, Mass., Jane Bennett and husband, Mark, of Bozrah and Paul Angilly of Windsor Locks; along with many nieces and nephews. Besides her father, Dale, Laurie was also predeceased by her father-in-law, Robert M. Angilly, and sister-in-law, Marilyn Angilly.

Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, from 1 to 4 p.m. A memorial and remembrance service with the Rev. Brad Peterson officiating will take place at 3 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Laurie's memory may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
