Leonora Cooper Obituary
She was born on Sept. 21, 1941, to the late Paul Valenti and Anna Zotter in New Britain. Leonora graduated from New Britain High School in 1959 and lived there until she married her late husband David Cooper in 1967. They were together for 46 years until he passed in 2014.
Lee and David moved to Colchester in 1972 and became a part of the St. Andrew's Catholic Church community. She would bake for their community lunch programs and was a dedicated member of the Ladies Guild. She worked for Cigna Insurance for 34 years as a Compensation Consultant, before she retired.
Leonora is survived by many nieces and nephews on both the Cooper and the Valenti family sides. Leonora was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Bregonzio and brothers, Richard Valenti and Nicholas Valenti. Lee will be laid to rest with her beloved David, at the Connecticut Veteran's Cemetery, 315 Bow Lane in Middletown on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 10 a.m. To share a memory or express condolences to her family please visit:
