Marjorie V. Bahler
Marjorie V. Bahler, 91, of Ellington passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, surrounded by her family. Marjorie was born January 1, 1934, at Rockville Hospital, daughter of the late Adolph and Ida (Zahner) Bahler. She lived in West Hartford, moved to South Windsor in 1946, graduated from Ellsworth Memorial High School in 1951 and in recent years moved to Ellington.
After graduation in 1951, she gave her life to the Lord and was a lifelong faithful member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Ellington.
Marjorie worked in many departments at First National Supermarket for many years before retiring from Edwards Supermarket as executive secretary to the CFO in 1995.
Marjorie is survived by her sister Marilyn Bahler of Ellington, her sister-in-law, Maxine Bahler of South Windsor, her niece, Sara (Bahler) Grasso and her husband Keven of South Windsor, her nephews, Lloyd Bahler and his wife Jayne of Tolland, Steven Bahler and his wife Lori, Thomas Bahler and his wife LaNae, and Philip Bahler and his wife Michelle all of Ellington, several great-nieces and nephews, and many great-great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Doris Bahler and Eunice Bahler, and her brothers, Russell Bahler, and R. Lee Bahler.
Marjorie's family extends their heartfelt appreciation to her caregiver Vivian Manso for her kind and compassionate care.
Her family will receive friend for calling hours on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 5-8 p.m., at the Apostolic Christian Church, 34 Middle Butcher Rd., Ellington. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, 12:45 p.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church, 34 Middle Bucher Rd., Ellington. Burial will follow at Ellington Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Apostolic Christian Church of Ellington, 34 Middle Butcher Rd., Ellington, CT 06029 and /or Ellington Senior Center, 55 Main St., PO Box 187, Ellington, CT 06029.
