Mary Priscille Albert (Nadeau) of Windsor Locks died peacefully surrounded by family on Sept. 1 at the age of 88. Mary, known as Priscille to much of her family, was born in Hartford on Nov. 7, 1933, to Marc and Angele Nadeau.
She graduated from Trinity Catholic High School and went on to work for Connecticut General Life Insurance for several years before marrying Arthur H. Albert Jr. They went on to be married for 58 years and raised four children together. She was a loving and caring mother who supported her children in whatever they chose to do. She enjoyed talking with others and was always welcoming to the many friends or relatives who stopped by the house.
Mary liked to travel, see new things, and meet new people. One of her favorite trips was to Hawaii and California to visit a beloved aunt. She often walked for exercise and met many people around town along the way. She was devout Catholic and supported seminarians on their journey to become a priest and her brother Roland's work as a La Salette missionary priest in Argentina. She doted on her grandchildren, fixing them their favorite foods, getting them special treats and taking them to the playground when they were young. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Mary is predeceased by her parents and her five siblings: Lucien Nadeau, Lucille Sevigny, Albert "Roger" Nadeau, Rita Ferrante and Fr. Roland Nadeau, M.S. She leaves behind her husband Arthur; four children, Jeanine (Jim) DeGray of Huntington, Massachusetts, Monique (Jack) Dunn of Westhampton, Massachusetts, Denis Albert of Windsor Locks, and Denise (Ward) Narramore of Gulf Breeze, Florida; and 11 grandchildren, Danielle (Joe), Nicole, James, Juliette, Jeremy (Whitney), Jason, Christopher, Edward, Eli, Phineas, and Beckett.
