She loved cooking for the holidays and making sure everyone was always fed. Mary's family was most important to her, and she looked forward to time spent with her children and grandchildren. Mary's family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and staff at Maple Lane at Evergreen Healthcare for their kind and compassionate care of the past four years. She leaves her children, Anthony Mozzicato III and his wife Suzanne of Ellington, Sebastian Mozzicato of South Windsor, and Josephine Giroux and her husband Pierre of South Windsor, her grandchildren, Chantal Daugherty and her husband Kevin of South Windsor, Pierre Giroux Jr., and his wife Jennifer of South Windsor, and Joseph Giroux and his girlfriend Aubrey Santanella of Enfield, Anthony Mozzicato IV of Ellington, Frank Mozzicato of Ellington, Natalia Mozzicato and her fiancé Jared Champagne of Enfield, and her great grandchildren, Grace, Ava, Catherine, Emma, Madelyn, Everett and Pierre III. She was predeceased by her five sisters, Vincenza "Zena" LaFountain, Catherine McSweegan, Josephine Green, Michelina Mazur, and Lucy Flint.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated privately with her children and grandchildren around her as was her request.
