Michael Cline
Michael "Mike" Robert Cline, 58, March 29, 1966 to July 30, 2024.
It is with immense sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Robert Cline. Mike was a beloved husband, father, brother, son and friend to all. He brought joy and love to everyone he met and will be deeply missed.
Mike will be remembered as a kindhearted, generous guy who greeted everyone with a smile. He loved traveling with his family, taking his kids to tournaments and golfing with anyone and everyone. Whether he was at Canoe Brook or on the lacrosse sidelines, Mike was ever present with his trademark smile and good nature. People were drawn to him and loved his company. "Cliner", as he was affectionately called, could always be seen in the middle of a group, enjoying the moment and making friends. While he was a man about town, his favorite gathering place was at his home, with the whole family around. Friends were always welcome.
Mike was born the middle son of three children to Carol (Andersen) and Andrew Cline in Rockville Centre, NY. The family moved many times when Mike was growing up, nurturing his gregarious spirit. As a child, he loved to play football, basketball and baseball. While an avid high school athlete, his true passion was spending time working on his beloved '68 Firebird.
After graduating from Rockville High School in 1984, Mike went on to earn a degree from Southern Connecticut State University. He was a devoted member of the Phi-Alpha-Omega fraternity while at Southern and reveled in his time living with his brothers in the house infamously known as the "Bat Cave".
After college, Mike moved to New York City to pursue a career in sales and finance. While living and working in the city Mike met Alysia. After marrying, they moved to Chatham, NJ where they started their family, Mike's greatest source of pride.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Alysia (Marron), their children, Grace, Isabelle, Matthew and Ava, his father, Andrew Cline, his brothers, Scott and wife Karen, Steve and wife Maria, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church located at 234 Southern Blvd., Chatham, NJ 07928 on Tuesday, August 6th, at 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions made to the Chatham Emergency Squad – P.O. Box 609 Chatham, NJ 07928
