Mildred Kaeser Obituary

Mildred Kaeser (nee Midge Helm), 83, entered this life on May 8, 1930, daughter to the late Stanley R. and Mary E. (Payne) Helm, departed on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, to be with her Lord.

She leaves behind to remember her with smiles and laughter, her devoted husband of 62 years, who always grew her the most beautiful flowers, Frederick Kaeser; her daughters, Pamela Roebuck and husband, William, of Lakewood, Wash., Mary Beth Kaeser and husband, Alan Nordell, of Ashford; sons, Frederick J. Kaeser and partner, Laura Natusch, of New London, Edward and wife, Kelly, of Naples, Maine, James and wife, Donna, of Willington, and Richard of Willington (our right hand man); sisters, Elsie Gevry of Massachusetts and Muriel Colvin of Rocky Hill. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Louise Seabeck; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Wapping Community Church and Wapping Grange. She enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles, gardening, and reading. Her family was the most important thing in her life; she loved each and every one of them.

She was predeceased by her beloved great-granddaughter, Erin Jane Tournquist.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, with a funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
