Monica Balch Obituary
Monica was born in Windsor, the daughter of Peter and Macalena (Palozie) Bloznalis, and lived in East Windsor most of her life. She and her husband, Joe, owned and operated Balch Pontiac Buick Mazda – Nissan dealerships. Theirs was the second oldest Pontiac dealership in New England. Monica was an active communicant of St. Philip Church.
Monica is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James and Cheryl Balch of Broad Brook; her brothers, James Bloznalis, and his wife, Lena, of Old Saybrook and Joseph Bloznalis, and his wife, Judy, of Clearwater, Fla.; her two grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Caroline Bloznalis of Broad Brook; several nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Mary Belval. Monica was predeceased by two sons, Joseph A. Balch II and John Peter Balch; an infant sister, Macalena Bloznalis; and a brother, Walter Bloznalis; and her loving cat, J.J.
A funeral service will be begin on Wednesday, June 30, at 9 a.m. at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St., East Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Philip Church, East Windsor. Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 29, from 5 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Philip Church, 154 S. Main St., East Windsor, CT 06088.
