Peter Stevens Obituary
He was born June 9, 1933, the son of the late Richard and Julia Dexter Stevens. He lived in Broad Brook for over 50 years and was a member of the Broad Brook Fire Department, East Windsor Rotary Club, member Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. He enjoyed working as an auto mechanic owning his own station and ultimately working for the Connecticut Emission Program. He enjoyed golfing, painting, loved his Boston Red Sox's, watching his birds and long afternoon rides to get a coffee with his wife.
He is survived by his son Peter F. Stevens and his wife, Dale of Somers; daughter, Lisa Ramaeka and husband, Eric of Hubert, North Carolina; daughter Cynthia Stevens of Farmington; adopted daughters, Norma Salmon and husband, Robert of East Windsor, Brenda Carlson and husband, Thomas of Tucson, Arizona; Linda Stevens, Enfield, widow of Lorne Stevens; and many nieces, nephews; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Joseph Nyarko dear friend and caretaker for the last two years. Besides his wife he was predeceased by brother Thomas Stevens; and son Lorne Stevens.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 9 to 10 a.m., on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St., East Windsor. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m., at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 20 North St., Enfield, CT 06082. Burial will follow at Scantic Cemetery, East Windsor.
