Rachel Kozikowski Obituary

Rachel I. (Drouin) Kozikowski, 71, of Enfield, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016.

Rachel was the beloved wife of 45 years to the late Alexander Kozikowski. She was born on Oct. 21, 1944, in Lewiston, Maine, the daughter of Laurette (Caron) Drouin and the late Joseph G. Drouin. Rachel and her late husband Alexander owned and operated Alexander's Florist formerly of Ellington.

Besides her mother Laurette C. Drouin, Rachel is also survived her two sons, Eric Kozikowski of Ashford and Glen Kozikowski of Enfield; her three brothers, Albert Drouin and wife, Carol of Stafford Springs; Gilbert Drouin and wife, Linda of Monson, Massachusetts; and Victor Drouin and wife, Lori of Ashford; and many other loving relatives.

Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd., Enfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Bernard Church 426 Hazard Ave. Enfield. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Enfield.

I knew Rachel from the YMCA. I always enjoyed seeing her come in with her two friends. I loved listening to their life adventures. She was a special lady and her presence will be missed. Sending my thoughts and prayers to you, her family.

My deepest sympathy to all family members especially Al and Carol she was one wonderful lady. She knew how to make you smile and brighten your day no matter how her mood was we were FB friends and will miss her and her wit RIP Rachel.
