Rudolph Corsini Obituary

Rudolph V. "Rudy" Corsini of Union passed away on Friday, December 21, 2007 at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, Mass.

He was born in Stafford Springs, son of the late Renato and Mary (Zuk) Corsini. Rudy was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and retired as a construction engineer from the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26, American Legion, V.F.W. Post No. 9990 of Stafford, and an honorary member of the Union Volunteer Fire Department. He loved Whipple Farm, where he resided, and had a passion for operating his backhoe.

Rudy is survived by his beloved wife, Dona H. Corsini of Union; a granddaughter, Libby McKinney of Green Farms; a brother, Richard Corsini and his wife, Doris, of Florida; a sister, Evelyn Niderno of Mansfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Rudolph V. Corsini Jr.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2007, at 7 p.m. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs. Burial in Union Center Cemetery, Union, will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Calling hours are on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Memorial donations may be made to the Congregational Church of Union, Buckley Highway, Union, CT 06076.

Dona,
I am so sorry to hear about Rudy, He was always so sweet to Hannah and I when we went to visit my parents and Hannah loved it when you both let her feed your horses. Please except my deepest condolences, may the lifetime of memories that you built together help ease the pain of not having him here with you. I am truly sorry.
