Stanley Baldyga Obituary

Stanley P. Baldyga Sr., 80, of South Windsor, beloved husband of the late Marion (Bosley) Baldyga, and father of the late Denise Ann Baldyga, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Hartford Hospital after a brief illness.

Stanley was born December 9, 1926 in Hartford, son of the late John J. Baldyga Jr. and Anna (Demijam) Baldyga, and had resided in South Windsor for most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy serving his country during WW II. Stanley was the former owner of Naek Construction of Vernon. He attended St. Bridget Church, Manchester.

Mr. Baldyga is survived by two sons, Stanley P. Baldyga Jr., and his wife, Betty of Ellington, and Mark E. Baldyga of Coventry; two grandchildren, Bobby and Jordan; a cousin, Minni; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, wife and daughter, he was predeceased by two brothers, Walter and John and three sisters, Stella, Jennie and Helen.

Funeral services will be Monday, Sept. 24, at 9:15 a.m. at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Bridget Church 80 Main St. Manchester. Burial with military honors will be in St. Bridget Cemetery.

Family and friends may call Sunday, Sept. 23 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dear Stanley and Mark
So very sadden to hear of Uncle Stanley's death. Joan and I stopped by to see him when I was last in Manchester but unfortunately got no answer. I will always remember how generous he was to my three children when we visited by own Mom and Dad. Our prayers are with you. Joyce, Kelly, Shaun, Neale and Aindrea
