Theresa (Tess) P. Thrift, 92, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 8, 2023. She was married to the late Franklin D. Thrift for 60 years. Tess was born on September 10, 1931, in Wilkes Barre, PA, a daughter of the late Michael and Anna Koza. She had been a resident of Enfield for 70 years. Tess retired from Valley Bank, now Bank of America after 30 years of service and with Paradise Shop at Bradley Int. Airport for 20 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Besides, spending time with her family she loved gardening.
Tess is survived by her two loving daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and Thomas Byrnes of Big Pine Key, FL, and Lisa and Peter Danalis of Charlestown, RI; her beloved grandchildren, Megan Halon & her husband Paul Halon of Suffield, Thomas M. Byrnes of Big Pine Key, FL, Christopher Danalis and his wife Christa of Greensville, SC, and Scott Danalis of San Diego, CA, her cherished great-grandchildren; Ariana Halon, of Suffield, P.J. Halon of Suffield and Thomas (Tt) Byrnes of Midland, TX. She also is survived by a sister Marion Roy of Orlando, FL, along with many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family for a time remembrance in celebration of her life on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield.
