This isn't fair. I shouldn't have to write this message that my bride, Kathleen, and I are heartbroken for our friends, Pam and Tom. But I must . . . and we are.
Those of faith can take comfort in the belief that Timothy is in a better place and likely embraced by a kind of sweetness not known here on Earth. So, he's good.
In fact, he's probably smiling upon all of us (particularly, his mom and dad) and thinking, Wait until you get here. This is way better than any Red Sox rally in the bottom of the ninth.
But Pam and Tom? Losing Timothy, one of their two sons, is more than should be asked of them.
There is the understanding, though, that God never presents folks with challenges that can't be met. That amounts to small solace, I know, for Pam and Tom, but they are strong and have all of the support their many friends and family members can muster.
More importantly, they have their memories of Timothy. The sorrow is that he's gone far too early. The joy is that he was here in the first place.

This is such a beautifully written tribute for a young man. I don't know Timothy or his family or friends, but you certainly lost a kind, caring, funny person, much too soon. Rest In Peace, Timothy.
