Veronica Adams Obituary

Veronica S. Adams
Veronica S. Adams, 98, formerly of Ellington and more recently of Vernon, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the love of her life, the late Stanley Adams. She was born March 16, 1926, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of the late Stanley and Sophie (Borowy) Slonczka. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, where she was active in the St. Helen Society and Rosary Society. She was also active in the Vernon Senior Center. She loved to do arts and crafts projects and was an avid Red Sox fan.
She is survived by her son, Richard Adams and his wife Elaine of Enfield; her grandchildren, Joseph Adams and Ashley Sharpe and her husband Derek; and one of the greatest joys of her life, her great-granddaughter Charlotte. Besides her loving husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Paul, Louis and Frank Slonczka.
Her family wishes to thank the staff of Complete Care at Fox Hill for their dedicated and loving care of Veronica.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8th at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 11th at St. Joseph Church, 33 West St., Rockville. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery.
