William Riley Obituary
William John Riley II, 61, of Enfield, CT passed away unexpectedly from complications after a fall, at Baystate Medical Center on September 11, 2024. He was born on July 25, 1963, in Hartford, CT to William J. and Judith (Bennett) Riley. Bill grew up in Enfield and graduated from Fermi High School, class of 1981. He then attended Asnuntuck Manufacturing Technology, graduated in 1999 and was employed by the Metropolitan District Commission in Hartford. Bill was a member of the Somers Sportsman Club and was an avid classic car enthusiast.
He is survived by his mother, Judy Riley; brother, Kevin Riley; nephew, Craig (Sarah) Johnson; niece, Megan Riley; great-nieces, Bree and Aubree Johnson, great-nephew, Damian Johnson; uncle, Wallace Bennett, Jr. (Mary Ann), several cousins and his cat, "Mookie". Bill was predeceased by his father, William Riley; brother, Darrin Riley; grandparents, Wallace and Margaret Bennett, William and Julia Riley; uncles, Dickie Bennett, Jack and Richard Riley.
Visitation will take place, Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, CT. A Funeral Home Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place directly after at Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield, CT.
