Randy, I was sorry to learn of your father's passing. It was always such a pleasure to visit with him on the phone. We finally had the opportunity to meet five years ago when my wife and I were in the Chicagoland area. He seemed to always enjoy our phone visits, and I am so glad that he and his father are part of the "Civil War Fathers" book. Thank you for the time you took several years ago to transcribe your grandfather's diary. Over the past several years, many people have commented to me how much they enjoyed the Yeager chapter. In making presentations about the book to various groups in the Midwest, I found it interesting how many people knew your father. These connections were made through Boy Scouts, hereditary societies, Freemasonry, PEO chapters, and Bradley University, etcetera. Please extend my sympathy to the rest of your family.

Carson, I have remembered your dad fondly often over the past 40 years. I credited him for helping to define my faith journey which has been so very important to my life.
So sorry to hear of your moms death also, but at last they are together again.

To Carson's family:
I worked with Carson at IBT, 79-92. He was always a pleasure to work with on projects there. I also shared a number of "lunches" at the Silverado with him and other retirees. We also had some personal visits between at our home and Lexington.
Great person, we will miss him.
God Bless, Ron Nelson

To the family of Carson Yeager, as you all may know, he was a past member of the Kent Methodist Church which he wrote fond memories for the Church book with pictures. He also painted a picture of the church which hangs in the church on the right side in front. This keeps his memory alive. We are saddened to learn of his death but then again he made it to 97 yr which is a real milestone. He was such a dear friend and my sympathy to his family as the obituary said, he was a loving father/grandfather. You all will have many good memories to cherish as you will with "grandma Elizabeth" too. May God Bless you all!
Very Sincerely to you all!
As an old friend and a member of the Kent Methodist Church. Irene Schubert

Dear Family,
Thank you so much for sharing Carson with us! We will always miss Carson. He is such a wonderful brother, man, and example of impeccable character. Though I am choked up and feel a great loss, I think he is content knowing that he helped us learn to make our world a better place in which to live. I know that everyone he has touched, now carries the torch, light, and cheer that he helped us to kindle in our own hearts.
We will always carry Carson with us and inevitably we will improve the world because of it!
