Ina and family- I was saddened to read about Casey in the paper. You will recall the time spent with my parents, Rolland and Shirley Haubach. I remember spending wonderful times with you when I was a kid. May the love of your friends and family bring you comfort .

Casey was a great conversationalist when you met and sat with him. First met him when I joined First Lutheran and then when I worked for three years at Park View. Will treasure the memories made in knowing him. Lifting Ina and the family in prayers on the passing of your Husband/father.

I'll certainly miss Casey. You can be sure I will always remember the spring fishing trips some of the Highland science faculty took to Caseys home area in Wisc. He is truly gone only physically. His pleasant, positive attitude remains with us! So sorry he is gone. Norm

A good man, my Grandson and I visited his garage and learned much history on the bombing of Japan. What a fascinating life. Gave him a Model T Ford ride in the Memorial day parade a few years ago. What a great guy.

I loved having Mr. Mayer as a math teacher at the Jr. High in Frpt, back in the mid 60s. My brother also had him. I last saw him at a Veterans Day celebration at Empire School, where he was honored for his service. I asked if he remembered me, which he did not. He did remember my brother, who was 6 years older than me. Well, my brother went on to become an accountant, me a first grade teacher, which probably accounts for why he remembered my brother. I easily mastered first grade math, tho!
I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was a great man and teacher!

Carey was always an interesting man to talk to, and he diffently loved talking about his time in the service. He was a true gentleman! The love and patience he showed his wife every morning while they are breakfast would warm anybody's heart. I often referred to them as the Note Book Story. His story may have ended, but he left lasting imprints on anybody who had the pleasure of listening to his stories.
