Larry Swain Obituary
Sept. 15, 1982 - Jan. 10, 2014
Dublin, Ga- Funeral services for Larry "Lewis" Swain, Jr., age 31 were held yesterday, Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment following at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Dr. Al Haywood and Rev. Glen Jackson officiated.
Mr. Swain was born on September 15, 1982 in Macon, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his grandparent's, Helen McVey Swain, and Robert and Dorothy Ryals. He was a 2001 graduate of Trinity Christian School, and a 2007 graduate of North Georgia Technical College in Clarksville where he obtained a electrical utility apprentice. He was employed as a lineman for Pike Utility. Mr. Swain passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Coliseum Medical Center in Macon.
Mr. Swain is survived by his loving wife, Caroline Ivey Swain of Cadwell, his parents, Larry L. and Annette R. Swain, Sr. of Dublin; daughter, Madilyn Lindsey Swain of Cadwell; sister, Michelle Swain of Dublin; grandfather, Chester Lewis Swain of McRae; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Evonne Ivey of Dublin; sister-in-law, Gracie Ivey of Dublin; niece, Harper Tarpley of Dublin; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Pallbearers were Randall Brown, Todd Smith, Clint Thigpin, Michael Graham, Josh Swain, Jordan Floyd, Steven Kinnett, and Reece Swain.
Honorary Pallbearers were Pike and Georgia Transmission Company, Joey Ryals, Rick Ryals, Robbie Ryals, Bob Stuckey, Val Smith, Steven Forrest, Tom Forrest, Andy Forrest, Rocky Ray, and Wesley McVey.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mr. Swain to the Bank of Dudley Benefit Account, c/o Jackie Brown, 200 W. Jackson Street, Dublin, GA 31021.
