Mary Determan Obituary

Mary Determan 1944—2021
Mary K. Determan, age 76, passed away on Wednesday July 7, 2021 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Born on October 21, 1944 in Lancaster, WI to Vincent and Mary (Eisele) Philipps, Mary received her degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and taught for many years in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. Helping children discover a love for reading was one of her true joys in life. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Warren and had an unwavering faith in God, knowing Christ as her savior. Mary will be forever missed by all who know and loved her.
Mary is survived by 2 sons- Gregory Determan of Flossmoor, IL and Daniel (Kristin) Determan of McFarland, WI; her three beloved grandchildren- Jacob and Serena Determan, and Emma Determan; brother Vincent (Judith) Philipps; two sisters- Jayne (Paul) Richgels and Lynn (Tom) Brueske; and Special friend Richard Rose.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son David Determan and brother Douglas Philipps.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday July 10, 2021 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Warren with Father Andrew Skrobutt officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
Burial will be at St. Ann's Cemetery in Warren with a luncheon following at St. Ann's Catholic Church.
A memorial has been established in her name.
