Steven Nunnery Obituary
Steven W. Nunnery, 65, died peacefully on Friday, August 3rd, 2018, at home, with his daughter and son-in-law by his side. He was born December 10th, 1952, to William and Norma (Nebold) Nunnery. Steve worked for the Illinois Central Railroad and the Freeport Park District. He recently enjoyed reading, watching crime drama T.V., going out for breakfast and shopping on Amazon. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and positive attitude. He is survived by his daughter, Heather (Gary) Smith; brother, Gary (Judy) Nunnery; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and the Nava family. He was preceded in death by his parents and sons, Steven and William.
Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 10th, at Zion Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Steve's name to The Freeport Area Church Cooperative. Condolences may be shared at www.walkermortuary.com

We haven't seen one another in many years, but I recognized his picture right away by his smile. We're cousins, and I remember family get together at Grandma and Grandpa Nunnery's when we were little kids. Good times, good food, good memories. Rest In Peace, Steve. Judy DeLancy, Ft Myers, Fl

I remember When Steve lived on Ringold Street with his Family. His Father worked with my Dad on the Illinois Central Railroad. Steve was well liked by many.

Praying Uncle Steve is at peace and out of pain as he watches over us up in Heaven.

I will always remember Steves humor, his witty comments and positive attitude. He was such a nice genuine guy that loved his family.
I remember how happy and healthy he was after his kidney surgery when he came to Bloomington to visit. He ate like a horse and with every bite a smile on his face. That is the image I will always remember him as.
I pray that one day a cure is found for polycystic kidney disease.
