Alice Faye McRoberts, age 79, of Lincoln Ne, passed away peacefully on July 29th 2025, surrounded by her family.
Born April 29,1946 to Mary Jackson in Mapleton, IA. At the age of 3, her and her mother moved to Walthill, NE where Mary met and married Raymond (Shorty) Means and was adopted and became Alice Means. In May of 1965, Alice married the love of her life, Edward L. McRoberts. They lived in Walthill NE , where they raised their family. In 1989 they moved to Lincoln Ne, where she resided at the time of her passing.
Alice had a love for country music, especially Loretta Lynn. She also ran a daycare for many years out of her home before retiring. Alice and Edward recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 13th 2025.
Alice was survived by her Husband Edward L. McRoberts Sr of Lincoln Ne, Daughter, MaDonna (David) McRoberts of Lincoln Ne., Son Leroy (Amanda) McRoberts of Sgt. Bluff IA, Daughter, Bobbie Jo (Mike) Birkel of Garland Ne, Daughter-in-law Dena McRoberts of Homer NE, 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Raymond and Mary Means, sister Linda Means, sons: Donald Ray and Edward McRoberts Jr. , daughter and son-in-law Billie Jo and Mikeal Jensen, grandson Patrick Jensen and great granddaughter Rylie Brooke Garcia.
Celebration of life in memory of Alice Mcroberts will be held on Sunday August 3rd in Garland Ne, in the building next to the firehall starting at 12 p.m. We are doing a pot luck, bring a dish and drinks and celebrate the life of a wonderful woman.
We will be having a graveside service on Monday the 4th for anyone who wants to be there. This will be at 12 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery on 6800 South 14th, enter thru gate 2 for car line up.

I just got home from my sister's in Iowa and found out about Alice. My heart breaks for all of you. She has been a friend for so many years. I plan to come tomorrow for the service. love you guys Jan Stidd
