Austin Hunter Kinser, age 18, left this world on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Bryan Hospital in Lincoln, NE, surrounded by his family. He was born February 17, 2003, in Lincoln, NE, to Mike and Colleen Kinser. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle and he touched the lives of all that knew him.
Austin graduated from Lincoln Southwest High School on May 24, 2020, and was on a fast track to getting his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at UNL, with a plan to graduate in December 2022. His greatest passion was customizing and selling cars, working his way up from an old F150 pickup to a 2015 V8 Mustang, even giving his mother the joy of her first ride in a Corvette. He aspired to design cars or rollercoasters and to obtain his dealer's license to buy and sell cars.
His love for music led him to take a job as a local DJ. Austin loved life and lived his to the fullest, pursuing all that he loved. His huge heart and generous soul showed through by the way he was always willing to help others, no matter how big or small the task.
Austin is preceded in death by his siblings Alex, Jacob, Jamie, and Micah. He is survived by parents, Mike and Colleen Kinser, of Lincoln; 3 sisters, Jessica Rustad (Zac), Danielle Kinser (Jake), and Courtney Kinser (Troy); 3 brothers, Steven "Tony" Kinser (Amy), Logan Kinser, and Hunter Kinser; 2 nieces, Emily and Ava Kinser; and nephew, Damian Kinser.
