She was a member of PEO Chapter A, the York Country Club and was very active in St. Joseph's School PTA. Bev also directed several fund-raising efforts as a member of the York General Hospital Auxiliary. During the York Centennial she was responsible for the staging of a production depicting the history of the city of York.
On Aug. 17, 1957, she was married to Don Freeman at York.
Survivors: husband, Don; son, Don Freeman II, Lincoln; daughters, sons-in-law, Courtney and John Bulin, York, Darcy and Bob Moran, Beatrice, Nicole and Bob Corning, Arlington Heights, Ill.; grandchildren include Jamie and Don Freeman III, Lincoln, Lauren and Freeman Bulin, York, John, Jared and Sydney Moran, Beatrice, Elizabeth, Nicholas and Rachel Corning, Arlington Heights; brother, John Siegel and wife, Jane, McCool Junction; mother-in-law, Lena Freeman, York; aunts; uncles; nieces; and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Carolyn Prescott.
Memorial services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, York. The Rev Leo Seiker. Private family inurnment. Rosary service: 7 p.m. Monday, Metz Mortuary, York. There will be no visitation or viewing; cremation. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, to the Lied Transplant Center, 987680 Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, NE 68198.
