Bradley Dwight Johnson, age 57, of Lincoln, passed away unexpectedly May 20, 2021. He was born on January 2, 1964 to Dwight and Karen (Porter) Johnson of Omaha.
Brad is survived by wife Deb (Block) of Lincoln, NE, son Parker (Madison) Johnson of Lincoln, daughter Mary Claire Johnson of Omaha, parents Dwight and Karen (Porter) Johnson of Omaha siblings Vicki (Dave) Graves of Volga, SD, Rodney (Marlys) Johnson of Lincoln, NE, Leslie (Dan) Nordstrom of Omaha, and Stephanie Johnson of Lincoln, parents in-law Dale (Mary Lou) Block of Gothenburg, sisters in-law Bonnie (Bernie) Reed of Holdrege, Judy (Mark) Butler of Holdrege, numerous aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by grandparents Adolph (Gurnell) Johnson of Omaha and Merrill (Dorothy) Porter of Omaha.
Services will be held May 27, 2021 at Hillcrest Evangelical Free Church in Seward at 10:30 a.m. with several fellow ministry members and friends officiating. Visitation will be held 1 - 8:30 p.m. with family greeting friends Wednesday, May 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hillcrest Evangelical Free Church in Seward.

Brad, I was a little girl when we met almost 40 years ago. You have always been larger then life. You were a wonderful uncle and Godly example to our nieces. Always kind. Always greeted me like I mattered to you. I don´t understand why Abba needed you with Him now. I believe seeds you planted will be harvested for MANY years. Hugs and prayers to your grieving family.

The suddenness of Brad's death makes it especially hard to deal with, but we know that God's timing was His plan from the beginning. Possibly he and Doug have already connected in heaven! I pray that God's grace is very much realty for you now and that He will give you comfort, strength and wisdom for the days ahead.

Bradley, you will be sorely missed. God used you in the locker room banter to steer my heart to God. You were the first person and former teamate I told when, I turned my heart to follow Jesus. I met Brad when our family decided to start going to Hillcrest back in 2017. Even though we wasn't able to go every week we thought of that church as our home away from home. When my husband passed away a couple of months ago I knew I wanted Brad to preside over his service. I had the privilege of surprising him by stopping by the church Thursday afternoon where I spoke to him about the many blessings that God has given me since my husband's passing. I was saddened to hear of his passing at church this morning. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Deb and his children Parker and Mary Claire. Pastor Brad, thanks for your friendship and kindness to me and my family and for giving a heartfelt service for my husband. You will be greatly missed. I know my husband is delighted to see you again.
