Brian Lee Herting

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Lee Herting, 65, on June 7, 2024, in Lincoln, NE. Brian was born on July 15, 1958, in San Francisco, CA, to Barbara Herting (nee Skog) and Lee Herting, both of whom have preceded him in death.
Brian is also predeceased by his siblings: Brad Herting and Katie (Herting) Richert; and his beloved daughter, Emily Herting. He is survived by his brother, Doug Herting (Michele); sister-in-law, Barbie (Brad) Herting; his ex-wife, Cindy Kildare; their sons: Keith (Kate) Herting and Daniel (Zixuan) Herting; as well as his five grandchildren: Wesley, Allison, Bernadette, Samuel, and Eleanor.
Brian graduated from Bellevue High School (later renamed Bellevue East) in 1976. He went on to earn both his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Nebraska. Brian was a passionate entrepreneur who started multiple successful businesses throughout his career.
In his personal life, Brian was an avid gardener who spent years building and tending to an exceptionally impressive home garden.
A memorial service will be held to honor Brian's life on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 2:30 PM at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, located at 4300 O St., Lincoln, NE 68510.
He will be remembered for his entrepreneurial spirit, dedication, and the love he had for his family and friends, as well as his remarkable gardening skills.
Brian will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
