Carol Burns

March 27, 1950 - October 3, 2025

Carol L. Burns passed away on October 3, 2025.

Born March 27, 1950, to Albert and Daisy Schleiger.

She retired after working as a hairdresser at House of Holloway and 42 years as a lab scientist/supervisor for the Nebraska Department of Agriculture.

She went to Josephs College of Beauty and Graduated from Lincoln High in 1968.

Carol enjoyed Nebraska football and volleyball, bowling, camping, fishing and most of all socializing with family and friends. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles #147

Carol is survived by her husband Gary, daughters Sheri Jurek (Warren) of Waverly and Jennifer Barbour (Matt) of Wichita Kansas. Grand children Bryce, Cory, Alicen, Logan, Kitrina, Hailey, Brooklyn, Tommy and nephew Burt Schleiger. Proceeded in death by parents, brothers Albert (Gene) and Ron.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the family for later designation.
