Carter Robert Pendergrass, 60, passed away on October 9, 2025, in Lincoln, Neb. Born on April 12, 1965, in Danville, Ill., to Donald and Mary Jane (Carter) Pendergrass.
He was a Power Engineer for Windstream.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Jane, of Olathe, Kan.; children, Phillip (Elizabeth) Pendergrass of El Paso, Texas, and Sydney (Misha) Sayers of Tabor, Iowa; grandchildren, Dean Sayers, Stella Sayers, and Arthur Pendergrass; siblings, Kathy (Kirk) Seeger of Lexington, Mo., and Kristy Pendergrass of Lee's Summit, Mo.; nieces and nephew, Lauren Seeger, Allison Seeger, and Collin Seeger. Carter was preceded in death by his father, Donald.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Southwood Lutheran Church, 4301 Wilderness Hills Blvd, Lincoln, NE 68516.
Memorials are designated to K-9s for Warriors or International Hunter Education Association.
