Catherine Ann (Rochford) Hise, 83, passed away peacefully at her home on September 12, 2025, in Lincoln, Neb.
She was born in Bismarck, N.D., on October 4, 1941. She graduated from Pepperell AFB High School, Newfoundland, and attended Memorial University of Newfoundland and George Washington University. After raising a family in Fairfax, Va., Cathy and her husband, Bill, moved to Lincoln, Neb., to enjoy their retirement years.
Cathy is predeceased by her father, Colonel Charles Emmett Rochford; and her mother, Stella Gilliam (Young) Rochford; and her brothers, John Charles Rochford and Edward James Rochford. She is survived by her husband, William Bruce Hise; daughters, Jennifer Hise (Ron), Rebecca Hayes (Monty), and Marjorie Paulson (Kevin); sisters, Roberta Munske, Mary Rochford, Stella Sinclair (John), and Patricia Babb, and grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, with a Rosary at 6 p.m., at Butherus, Maser & Love Chapel, 4040 A Street, Lincoln. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cathedral of the Risen Christ, 3500 Sheridan Blvd., Lincoln. Burial in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
