The service was loving and heartfelt. The family and his friend Ralph captured his spirit and warmth beautifully. I so miss having him stop by my office for a chat and a few laughs.

To Ali, Mary & the rest of the Metzger family: My heart is with you as you grieve. Doug was a big part of my childhood. From coaching Ali's and my softball and basketball teams, to joking with us while we played at your house - his incredible spirit was always a source of stability, support, comfort and kindness. His spirit lives on, and will never be forgotten. Love and prayers.

What a great guy!. We talk baseball, baseball cards and St. Louis Cardinals. I
I always tried to get him the Cards pocket schedule when I could. If I had to go to 4th floor at NETV I would always stop by and talk baseball. You will be missed
