Duane Hronik
November 29, 1970 - March 7, 2022
Duane Hronik, 51, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on March 7, 2022 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Duane was born in York, NE to Franklin and Phyllis Hronik on November 29, 1970. Duane grew up in Curtis, Nebraska where he learned the value of hard work, importance of community, and made lifelong friends as part of the Class of '89 at Medicine Valley High School. Duane had a strong interest in history. His curiosity was first piqued when it came to learning about his own Czech heritage and led to a bachelor's degree in history obtained at University of Nebraska. He worked as the Senior Paralegal at Ritchie Brothers Auctioneers, where he was loved by many.
Duane was involved at Faith Bible Church in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was a man of strong faith. This was reflected in how he valued and loved his wife, children, family, friends, and dogs. He was a servant at heart and demonstrated honorable leadership in all circumstances. There was never a task Duane was not up to conquering, especially if it had to do with lending a helping hand to someone in need. He loved to learn and pursued greatness in all areas of life. This greatness was evident in his woodworking craftsmanship, fishing, hunting, running (extremely) long distances, and growing an impressive beard. We will miss you, gentle giant.
He is survived by wife Monica Hronik; daughter Helena Hronik; son Corbin Miller (Taylor Miller), daughter Grace Hicks (Joseph Hicks), daughter Nina Van Noy; parents Franklin and Phyllis Hronik; sister Tammy Lamprecht (Chad Lamprecht); sister Lisa Medsker; sister Julie Block; sister Brenda Parry (Jim Parry); many nieces and nephews; and his 3 dogs, Butters, Baloo, and Babs.
A Celebration of Duane's Life will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Lincoln Berean Church, 6400 S. 70th, Lincoln 68516. Memorials are suggested to the family for further designation. Online condolences may be left at www.bmlfh.com.

So sorry to read of his passing, he was a very devoted young father to Helena when she was one of "Anita's kids". Never saw him without a smile and never heard an unkind word from him. I hope to be more like Duane when I grow up.
Gregory Duane Fisk.
