Raymond L. Juengel, 87, of Lincoln, arrived in the arms of His Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 23, 2026. Ray was a devout husband, father, and friend because of the love he received from His Lord throughout his entire life. Born and raised into a strong Christian family, this heritage was evident in his character and everyday life with those who knew him.

Ray was born on February 23, 1939, in Lincoln, to Paul and Esther Juengel. The family lived in Deshler, Neb, before moving to Lincoln in 1955. After high school Ray served in the US Navy, after which he returned to marry Evette Sharon Meyer of Lincoln. They met at the Walther League of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lincoln. On June 17,1962, Ray and Evette were united in Holy Matrimony. They had Scott Alan, their only child, and enjoyed 52 years of marriage before Evette's passing in 2015.

In 2017 Ray met Beverly Jean Adams who had also recently lost her husband. Sharing a common Lutheran faith, Ray had such a great first marriage, he wanted to do it again, this time with Beverly, so they were united in Holy Matrimony on December 16, 2017, at Trinity Lutheran in Lincoln.

Ray is survived by his beloved, caring, loving wife, Beverly; his only son, Scott, of El Paso, Texas; his two grandchildren, Sara Juengel and Andy Morrison-Juengel; his only brother, LeRoy and Barb Juengel.

A visitation, with family present, will be held on Sunday, March 29, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home. A celebration of Christian life will be held at Christ Lincoln Church, 4325 Sumner, Lincoln, on Monday, March 30, at 2 p.m., followed by a light reception.
