Gary Steven Shaw, 62, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025.

Gary was born on October 26, 1962, in Lincoln, Neb. to Steven and Lois (Neubauer) Shaw. He grew up in the Lincoln/Waverly area. Gary was a collector who enjoyed spending many hours searching for items to add to his collection of antiques, brass and glassware. For many years, he was a member of the Lincoln West Optimist Club and served as the equipment manager for the Homer's Heroes baseball organization. He enjoyed camping, fishing and Husker football.

Gary is survived by his mother and stepfather, Lois and Bruce Morrow of Waverly; stepmother, Connie Shaw of Lincoln; brother, Gregg (Kim Erickson) of Waverly; sister, Stacy (Tom Callicoat) nephews, Zachary and Jaydon, of Lincoln; brother, Jesse nephews, Liam and Luke, of Parker, Colo.; sisters, Shellie Sabata (Ed), nephew Avery, of Lincoln; and Kelli Vetter (Brett), niece, Elaina and nephew Shane, of Gretna; and aunts, Nancy Shaw, of Springfield, Va.; Gail Rixstine, of Normal, Ill., and numerous cousins.

Preceded in death by his father, Steven Shaw; his grandparents Donald & Marie Shaw of Wymore; Roy & Helen Neubauer of Nebraska City; and niece, Felicia Sayers.

Graveside service and burial will take place in Wymore, Neb. at a later date. Memorials in care of family.
