Gregory Tebo Obituary

Gregory Tebo

Gregory Tebo, 67, beloved husband, father, grandpa, teacher, and coach, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025. A lifelong Lincoln, Neb. resident, Greg spent over 40 years inspiring students in Lincoln Public Schools and decades coaching youth sports with passion, humor, and heart. As President of the YMCA Youth Sports board for over 30 years, he helped build a strong, supportive community for countless kids.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and devoted wife, Sheri; four sons, Kyle (wife, Jessi), Aaron (wife, Shannon), Curtis (wife, Sydney), and Austin; and five grandchildren, Chase and Trey (Kyle and Jessi) and Miller, Jones and Foster (Aaron and Shannon).

A Celebration of Life will be held April 16th from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Lincoln Firefighter's Reception Hall. Casual dress encouraged-especially anything celebrating the Huskers, LPS, YMCA Youth Sports, or SpongeBob.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to one of the organizations that were especially meaningful to Greg, the Lincoln YMCA Strong Kids Campaign and the LPS Backpack Program.

So very sorry to hear about your loss. I worked with both Greg and Aaron while at the YMCA Youth Sports office and the Cooper YMCA. Greg was all about the kids! He will be greatly missed. Praying your tears heal you and find you with a smile on your face when your memories pop up.

I read of Greg's passing this morning. I didn't know him well but my wife and I met him more through Sheri. We are so sorry to learn of this untimely loss. Please except our deepest sympathy to your family and friends.
