James Keck Obituary

James David "Jim" Keck

September 18, 1956 - January 17, 2022

James David Keck of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on January 17, 2022. "Jim" was born in Millbrae, California on September 18, 1956. His father Don's broadcasting career brought his family from California to Michigan to Connecticut and Florida. The first of four children, Jim grew up to follow his father's footsteps in a radio broadcasting career which took Jim and his wife Megan from the Rio Grande Valley of Texas to Lincoln, Nebraska.

Jim and Megan made their home in Lincoln for most of 30 years. It has been an ideal community to raise their three sons. Jim was a gentleman and a friendly, considerate face to those he encountered. His sense of humor, passion for dressing sharp, and his love of classic old movies contributed to his charm.

He is survived by his wife, Megan, and their three sons, Charles, Joseph, William and his siblings and their families: Tim (Mary) Ocala, FL; Andy (Amanda) Orlando, FL; and Katy (Kevin) Seattle, WA.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials to honor Jim can be sent to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) or the Food Bank of Lincoln.
