Dear Kent,
I am Bill & Valeria Hempel's daughter, Paula. I have so many fond memories of your family, beginning when we all lived on Everett. I remember your dad stopping by Sunburst Lane on Sunday mornings after church for coffee. All the years of our mothers playing bridge together. The thing I recall the most about Jean was her laugh. She and Bob would always stay at mom's house when they visited and your mom would have such a joyful laugh. They really had a blast. I'm so sorry I didn't realize they had been living in Lincoln.
Best wishes and wonderful memories!

Dear Kent and all of Jean's family:

I was sorry to hear of your mother's passing, although I understood that her health was declining. Gayle kept us informed of her condition. Your mother and father were always so gracious to my family. I have fond memories of them taking me to the Milwaukee zoo and a baseball game when our family visited years ago. Jean had such a wonderful laugh - and spirit. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm sorry that I won't be able to attend the funeral.

Much love, Frankie (Nielsen) Moore
