Jean Morrison

Jean Ellen Morrison, 85, was born in Springview, NE on June 18, 1939, and passed away on June 24, 2024, in Omaha.
She grew up in the country on a farm outside of Springview, where she and her brother attended a one-room school. The family moved to Spingview and purchased a gas station/bulk plant. She attended Keya Paha County High School, graduating in 1956. She married and had two children whom she raised almost entirely on her own. In 1965, she moved to Lincoln with her two young children and graduated from business school. She became a commodities stockbroker and operations executive. Later in life she managed an office building in Lincoln.
She was an avid reader, a slot machine enthusiast, a skilled gardener, an outstanding cook and an amazing baker. She was greatly admired and dearly loved by her many friends, coworkers, and family.
She is survived by her children: Holly (Larry Johnson) and Michael; and her grandchildren: Katelynn, Samantha, Wyatt, Colt, Madison, and Jacob. Preceded in death by parents, Grace and Clarence; and beloved brother, "Bud".
