Jim J. Linderman

November 4, 1940 - September 10, 2025

Jim Linderman, 84, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. He was born on November 4,1940, in Fairbury, Nebraska, to Raymond and Clara Linderman.

Jim married Marlene Swanda on April 30,1966, and graduated from the University of Nebraska as a Pharmacist in 1965. Subsequently, Jim served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968 as a pharmacist, which he continued as until his retirement in 2012. He enjoyed Keno with his friend, Lyle, fishing, hunting, horse racing, which he traveled with his three sons to the Kentucky Derby and Breeders Cup for many years.

Jim was active as a Cub Master in the 1970s.

Family members include sons, Jerome Linderman (Jenna) of Lincoln, Dr. Alan Linderman (Sandi) of Ashland, and Brian Linderman (Charlotte) of Lincoln; grandchildren, John Linderman of Chicago, Kate Linderman of Chicago, Anna Linderman of Lincoln, Thomas Linderman of Lincoln, Olivia and Matt Linderman of Lincoln; step-grandchildren, Alex and Addy Hansen, Jaxon, Bryden and Easton Pieper of Lincoln; Jim's sister, Ruth Steffens of Lincoln; brother-in law, Jerry (Phyllis) of Brainard; and several nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Cyril Swanda; brother, Donald Linderman; sister, Dorothy Beachler; brothers-in-law, Edwin Steffens, Duane Beachler, Edward Swanda, Bill Swanda, Norman Kavan, Sr., Leonard Maly; sisters-in-law, Darlene Maly, Norma Kavan, and Charlotte Gregurus.

Memorial service will be Friday, September 19th, at 1:30 p.m. at Southview Christian Church, 2040 South 22nd Street, Lincoln, NE 68502.
