Richard Nelson

April 17, 2004

Brothers by birth, I would affectionately refer to him as 'Brother Father John' or 'Father Brother John', to recognize his chosen role in serving his God, his family, and his fellowships. John was more than just a brother, he was a friend, and a fellow Christian journeyman. I miss him, yet take pleasure in knowing there is no final goodbye for those who know Christ. Jesus is preparing a place for us; we will meet again. I will continue to love and treasure John's earthly family both because of who they are and who John was. I did and will continue to love him very much. I treasure having Johnny as part of my life, and am honored to have been part of his. He was my friend, my brother John.
