Our sympathy to Joe's family. We so enjoyed him coming to our house when we needed a repair man. He was so honest and always had a smile when he was here. When our kids were little Joe came one day while we were out. When we got home Sammy looked in the basement and announced that someone was working downstairs and that he was "old like grandpa". I was so embarrassed! However, one look at Joe told me I had nothing to worry about because he was laughing! I guess he liked looking like "grandpa". We will truely miss him. He always had a smile and good words whenever or where ever we had the pleasure of seeing him. Your family is in our prayers.

To think that Avary will never know Joe or Joan Schelkopf makes me so extremely sad. They will both live on in the stories I tell to her of waiting for piano lessons, concerts back home and their smiles. My love and thoughts are with you all right now and always.

I always enjoyed getting to "chat" with him when coming to the house for piano lessons. He was a great addition to the church as well. I think he gave the best childrens sermons, and we all loved his music!!! He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers our with you.
