Kathy Nehe, age 85, of Lincoln, died August 7, 2025.
Born January 14, 1940, in Ogallala, Neb., to Irvin and Marvel Mahoney, Graduate of St. Joseph's High School, Beatrice, 1957, Graduate of St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing 1959, Employee Dr. Hohn Clyne, Dr. Roy F. Statton, St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Member of St. John' Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth's Alumni Association, St. John's Altar Society, St. Elizabeth's Auxiliary, and Pink Sisters volunteer.
Children, Ann Herbener (Dave), Brian Nehe (Lisa), Kris Kuehn (Vern), and Mike Nehe (Cindy); grandchildren, Matthew Nehe, Adam, Jake, and Morgan Herbener, Ryan and Justin Kuehn, Colin and Emma Nehe; great-grandchildren, Brynlee Nehe, Frank and Olivia Herbener, Caroline Kuehn; siblings, Jerry Mahoney (Diane) and Margaret Samide (Mike); and siters-in-law, Nancy Krueger, and Mary Lee.
Preceded in death by husband, Jerry; her parents; and her sisters, Carol Yoakum and Jeanne Mahoney.
Services: Rosary, Monday, 7 p.m., Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street.
Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, 10:30, St. Johns the Apostle Catholic Church, 7601 Vine Street. Memorials: St. John's. Condolences can be left at bmlfh.com.

I was Kathy's supervisor in the Triage department at St. Elizabeth. She was so kind and caring with every patient and her co-workers. God bless you.
She was such a pleasure to work with and a very competent nurse. RIP my dear.
