Kristin Nelson
August 4, 1952 – November 22, 2022
Kristin (Kris) Nelson, Lincoln, died on November 22nd after a short, intense battle with cancer. Born in Campbell, NE, and a graduate of Bladen High School, she attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She was a long-time judicial assistant/assistant clerk of the Lancaster County court system. She thought first of others and was her sister's best friend.
Survivors include her sister, Beth Birnstihl of Lincoln; an aunt, Mrs. Karen Koelder, Bladen, NE; cousins and their families; and loyal friends and colleagues. She is preceded in death by her parents Oliver and Norma Nelson; her grandparents, Frank and Elizabeth Koelder and Nels and Mary Nelson; and her brother-in-law, Mike Birnstihl.
A celebration of life open house will be held January 21, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Holmes Lake Apartments Club House, 7100 Holmes Park Road, Lincoln. Please join this time of conversation, sharing of laughter (Kris's request), stories, and refreshments. A brief program will begin at 3:00

I worked with Kris at County Court, we became friends and had a lot of laughs together. Kris always asked if I had room for her at our Lake house in the ozarks when she retired. She is definitely missed. Prayers to the family.
