I knew Larry...we lived 2 blocks apart. We were together a few times. Larry was older than me. I just found out his brother, Gordon passed away and noticed in the obituary the Larry had died...around 20 years ago. I remember Larry's Dad and Mom. His dad was a Milk Man, delivering milk to our house, Ervin and Pearl Lukert's home. My oldest brother, Lester...as I recall from my Mom and Dad telling me sometimes rode with Larry's Dad.

Not sure why, but, I thought about Larry just a few minutes ago. Put his name, coupled with NEBRASKA, on the Internet. There it was...the first Larry Goldsmith listed. Sadly, it is an Obituary...back in 2004. My name is Gary Lukert...I lived 2 blocks East, with my Parents, brothers and sister. At 503 South 1st Street, at 1st & Ash Streets. When I was a kid...I sometimes was over at Larry's and an older Hafer (think that was his name) boy. I also played with the Robbins boys. I also remember Larry's Dad and Mom. They were good people. At 64 Larry was so young. I am 81 now...living in Emporia, KS. Yes, it is Sad Larry died so young. Larry was a good man.

We were fortunate to capture a couple photos of Larry cutting one of the trees for the 2003 St John Christmas. This is yet another example of Larry's contributions to our church and the community of Seward.

For all of the time I spent at the Goldsmith's while growing up I have mothing but excellent memories. Every memory of Mr. Goldsmith is only positive in his dedication to family, friends, and children. His energy, ease in smiling, and support as a coach and role model are his legacy to me. I am quite certain that he did an excellent job in passing his values on to his children, grandchildren, and to those like me that he touched. We should all lead such a life.

We are indeed sorry to hear of the passing of Larry. We respected their family and our children still remain the best of friends with their children. We enjoyed ball games and church events and always found Larry and his family to be a God loving family filled with understanding and community. Our prayers to the family. Wayne and Neita

Carol and family:
We were shocked and saddened to hear of Larry's death. It doesn't seem possible.
Although we have been away from Seward for over 15 years, we will always remember his friendly smile and spoken words.
You can rest assured that he knew his Savior and has gone to a better place. God Bless.

Larry was always so thoughtful when he would stop at the Sundermann Home and say hello to my Father Milton Kruse and visit about fishing at the farm. He was a very kind man. My sincere sympathy to all of your family.
