Larry M. Hall, 83, Adams, NE, passed away on October 14, 2025. He was born March 26, 1942, to Marvin and Virginia (Vanderlip) Hicks at Lincoln General Hospital.

Larry was the great great-grandson of Judson and Marietta Vanderlip, who came to Bennet in 1869. Larry was a talented trumpet player. He attended the University of Nebraska which led him to a successful career first in radio broadcasting and then into television news reporting. Together with his wife Carol, Larry created a group tour company they named "Hall Tours". Which took them to Alaska numerous times, to Europe and many other destinations. Larry served as the State President of Nebraska Farmers Union and was an active member of the National Farmers Union Board of Directors. Larry was a candidate for Congress in 1989. In later years, Larry served as the Pastor for United Methodist Churches in Pleasant Dale, Denton, Malcolm, Raymond, Osmond, Pierce, Winside, Palmyra and Cheney. Most recently, Larry served as the first President of the Bennet Area Historical Society and wrote popular historical columns for the Voice Newspaper whose publication serves southeast Nebraska communities.

He is survived by his wife, Carol (Harms), Adams, NE; son, Richard (Rick) Lance (Trina) Hall, Ceresco, NE; daughter, Christina Renee Hall, Lincoln, NE; brother, Lance (Peggy) Hall, Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Cody Hall, Justen (Mikayla) Hall, Chase Larry Hall, Krystal Hall and Ticia Hall; cousin, Warren Stricker; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Bennet Community Church, 350 Monroe St., Bennet, NE.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to family for future designation.
