Leroy Eberhardt Obituary

Leroy Phillip Eberhardt, 84, Norfolk, formerly Randolph, died Friday (6/3/05). Born, McLean (4/10/21) to William and Emma (Weyhrich). Attended Pierce County School District 54 near McLean. Graduated, McLean High School, 1939. Attended Lincoln Aeronautical Institute, Lincoln. Married Mardelle L. Johnson (2/15/47) in Wausa. Member, Thabor Lutheran Church, Wausa. Past member: Hope Lutheran Church, McLean, Randolph Rural Fire Board, Board of Education Pierce County District 54; Farm Bureau. Past Pierce County Democratic precinct chairman.

After schooling completed, he farmed near McLean until he retired and moved to Randolph in 1984. He moved to Norfolk in 2002. Leroy enjoyed bowling, watching New York Yankees baseball and other TV programs. Very proud of his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.

Survivors; son, daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Kathy, Norfolk; daughter, son-in-law, Kay and Jim Lehr, Lincoln; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, sister-in-law, Willis and Eleanor, Sun City Center, Fla.; sister, Irene King, South Sioux City. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Mardelle (11/2/02); brother, Donald.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Evangelical Covenant Church, Wausa. The Rev. Michelle Olson. Rose Hill Cemetery, rural McLean. Visitation: Monday, 9:30 a.m. until services, church. Johnson Funeral Homes, Randolph.
