Lois Farlin was born March 15, 1936, in Springview, Nebraska to Ernest Larsen and Mary Jane (Janie) Haun Larsen. Lois was married to Stanley Farlin and shared five children: Lesa, Julie, Meg, Eric, and Mark. Lois and Stan shared a strong Christian faith and were blessed with 68 years of marriage. Lois spent more than 50 years in the classroom and inspired an innumerable number of young lives with her unique teaching style. Lois joined her Lord and Savior in Heaven on September 28, 2022, at the age of 86 years.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley Farlin of Scottsdale, AZ; her children Lesa Williams of Lincoln, NE, Julie (Jesus) Barncastle of Scottsdale, AZ, Meg (Scott) Anema of Phoenix, AZ, and Mark (Stephanie) Farlin of Carlsbad, CA; her brother Glen (Mary) Larsen of Hastings, NE; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Ern and Janie Larsen; her brother, Larry Larsen, and her son, Eric Farlin.
