Louise (Buresh) Kechely, 99, of Wymore, passed away on September 30, 2025. She was born on April 5, 1926, in Wymore, Neb., to John and Mary (Chotenovsky) Buresh.

She attended Wymore High School and was a member of the Zephyr Cadets Marching Drill Team her freshman through senior years of high school. She was proud to be a part of this organization as it was dissolved after the 1944 season.

She was a 1944 graduate of Wymore High School. After graduation, she went to work in the defense plant at Store Kraft Manufacturing in Beatrice during World War II and then later served as a file clerk with the company. She also worked as a clerk at Sunrise Bakery in Beatrice for 12 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Mary's Altar Society.

Louise married Melchior "Keck" Kechely at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wymore on November 23, 1946. To this union were born two sons, Bob and Bill and daughter, Patti. She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mother through their grade school and high school years. She enjoyed canning and freezing vegetables all from their huge garden. She also enjoyed playing her organ, taping the songs she was playing, and listening to them later. She enjoyed going on trips with all her family, especially all the sports and music events of her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Bob Kechely and wife, Sharon of Beatrice, Bill Kechely and wife, Jean of Lincoln and Patti Milligan and husband, Terry of Wymore; grandchildren, Mary Manning Kechely of Elkhorn, Megan Manning Kechely of Lincoln, Tyler Milligan and wife, Kimberly of Lincoln and Brooke Milligan of Lincoln; great-grandchildren, Payeton and Andrew Milligan and Kash Boggs; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melchior Kechely (July 3, 2012); parents, John and Mary Buresh; sisters, Martha Lytle, Rose Retchless, Mary Winslow, Anna Prebyl, Helen Zvolanek, Franny Essam, Ann Wollenburg; and brothers, Joe and Stan Buresh.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 2 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wymore. Burial will be at the Wymore Cemetery. Refreshments will be served in the church hall following the burial services. The body will lie in state at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home on Sunday, October 5th, from 2 to 7 p.m. with the family greeting relatives and friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. A Rosary service will follow at 6:30 p.m.
